To our valued investors, MAVAN Capital Partners passed a number of milestones in 2019. We now have 3 active technology focused funds in the private capital market. We have seen some exceptional response to our Venture Capital Corporation (VCC) offerings. We have also seen our portfolio companies grow from 2 to 8 over the last 12 months. These companies are spanning across various sub-sectors including social awareness, non-profit funding, the genetics industry and even a school communication platform.
Technology has certainly garnered the interest of the general public and investors alike. As tech innovation continues to move forward at a remarkable pace and developments disrupt and shape our cultural fabric at unprecedented speeds, industries such as event management, artificial intelligence and data mining and healthcare are transforming with current technological advancements.
